How to Tie a Bowline Knot
- Lay the line (rope) across your left hand with the free end hanging down. Form a small loop in the line in your hand & leave enough room for the desired loop size.
- Pass the end of the line through the loop from the underside or as if you were making an overhand knot.
- Wrap the line around the standing line and back through the small loop.
- Tighten the knot by pulling on the free end while holding the standing line.
Boater Tip
